I hired them to install a "NEW" keypad on my existing system. After they put it up I could tell it was a refurbished one. Scratches on the face, the buttons were a little dirty in the cracks, and from what I remember I never noticed a box or packaging when they brought it in from their truck! When I questioned the guy about it, he just said it was what he was given to put in and the only one he had. After I called, I was offered a couple bucks off, obviously trying to pull a fast one on me. Won't use these thief's again! Plus I'm sure the guy stole a bag of potato chips from me! Bought a bag for my nieces birthday party (I don't eat chips) and put it in my pantry (where the alarm box is located). When I went to retrieve it a week after the keypad was put in, the bag was gone! I live alone, nobody but me, and nobody else was in my house! Just guessing...

Preferred security is your typical low budget mom and pop operation. I visited their "showroom" because I was interested in an alarm system. None of the displays worked properly, they even had their bratty kids running around the showroom. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them install the system in my home. What a mess! The owner and this kid shows up at my house, starts unloading everything, and for the first two hours they argue over everything down in the basement. The owner eventually left and the kid finished up most of the day. That was in between the cigarettes, cell phone calls, and other nonsense. Finally the system was completed, the kid tried to explain how to use it and I could tell he really wanted nothing to do with me. I still don't fully understand how to use my system. I spent the next day cleaning up cigarette buts outside my house on the curb and trying to read the owners manual. Bottom line, go with a more professional company!
