Don't RENT From This Company!!!

I wish i could give zero stars as well they just bought building i've lived in 5 years. They have been receiving payment but sent out two letters stating i owe them over two grand and they just took over in december. They had no number on letter to reach them when i finally get someone to track down their number they don't answer. So i have to inconvenience my self and go to the office missing work they tell me they have been getting checks but haven't been able to cash them so i take care of everything and although if they had stated in the letter it would be a quicker process. They send me a letter on the Feb 12th, and 22nd then a letter from a lawyer on the 25 talking about eviction and though i have taking care of the problem that because their incapability to run a business they are still trying to evict me but cashing my checks. This company have no idea how to run a business if I work for the BBB i would shut them down i am reporting them.

This is the worst management and apartment building I have ever lived/in dealt with in my life. Simply Better or the Related Companies or whatever tax sheltered ridiculously name you go under in Delaware are an evil company with the most incompetent, deceitful and cruel parasites of humanity I have ever dealt with. I lived 4 years of hell in their horrible building in the Bronx. I am glad I escaped that apartment but still feel traumatized from it. I hope this company gets sued and shut down for treating its tenants so horribly and overcharging them. They essentially run third world condition apartment buildings and force tenants to live like animals and expose them to toxic amounts of noise, rodent/insect infestations. When i moved in, their incompetent contractors left a massive hole in the wall behind my kitchen sink, continuous with the next adjacent building which I never found out about until 4 years later since the kitchen sink was nailed shut to the wall. This hole has a major reason why I constantly had rodent and roach infestation. The neighbors next to me were horrible. They were incredibly lousy with several disgusting barking dogs who would bark all day when their owners were gone and I had to listen to their whining all day. Those neighbors would also argue at all times of the night with loud music, parties every holidays that it would just depress me to be in my home during the holidays. The people above me were also noisy, constantly thumping like elephants and at one point had a treadmill which just added to my torment. I frequently had roof leaks from their radiator upstairs directly above my bed which took months to fix and still happened 2 out of the 4 winters I was there. I frequently complained, documented the noise with recordings, and yet nothing got fixed. To top all it off, they frequently overcharged me with rent and took over4 months to return my security deposit after I left. I was forced to buy expense noise cancelling headphones and white noise machines to stay in my own apartment and still do to this day in my current apartment which thankfully is quieter, but still any neighbor noise just reminds me of this hell. I want to see this company to be held accountable and to pay for all the human suffering they have caused to me and undoubtedly to the rest of their tenants

I would give no stars if possible. Unresponsive to tenants needs, irresponsible with lease renewals and accuracy of documentation. The building I live in has had a mouse infestation for months, nothing has been done about it. There has been a hole in the ceiling of the lobby which is draining water for weeks that has gone unrepaired, there was a broken window in one of the hallway/stairwells that went unfixed for weeks. This is a poorly run management company that doesn't care about their tenants.

I would give fewer stars if I could. I've had nothing but problems since they took over the management of my building. They are unresponsive to calls, I have never had a call returned. There has been a mouse infestation in my building for months which has gone unfumigated, the building is falling apart (literally, the ceiling of the lobby fell and there is a bucket catching dripping/running water). This is a terrible management company.

They never respond to compliant.

Ghetto employees who don't care about their tenants. All they care about is getting the rent on time. They're pretty much slumlords.

This company is so irresponsible, I have never encounter such, the employees lie as much as they breathe.. there has been a lack of heat and hot water, imagine not having hot water for 3 days and without being notified.. These people are so ridiculous.. Even the VP Hector Pineiro has no decency...
