The Public Works Department is a part of the government of the City of Camarillo in California. The department is responsible for the construction, improvement and maintenance of the city s infrastructures. It also maintains streets, sidewalks, landscapes, wastewater treatment systems and traffic signals. The Public Works Department operates an administration division that performs backflow control processes and prepares and monitors the department s budget. The department s capital projects section offers infrastructure inspection and design services and selects consulting firms to prepare engineering plans and specifications. In addition, it manages a land development division that provides plan checking solutions and processes improvement permits.
