She is also a Rhode Island Family Court certified mediator, a certified mediator in child access cases and a court certified guardian ad litem for child (children) of divorcing parents * Lois Iannone was admitted to practice law in 1987. Lois graduated Providence College, summa cum laude, in 1983 and from New England School of Law, cum laude, in 1987 * Lois was honored at her law school as a New England Scholar for two consecutive years. She also received the American Jurisprudence Award in Family Law * Lois is admitted to the United States Supreme Court as well as First District Federal Court * Lois was employed by the R.I. Department of Human Services, as Legal Counsel to Rhode Island Child Support Enforcement for nine years. She handled child support cases and paternity matters and argued before the Rhode Island Supreme Court for the State of Rhode Island on several occasions * Lois has been practicing in the family court since 1990. She has focused her practice in the areas of divorce, father's rights, custody, child support and visitation, as well as contested and uncontested divorces. Lois has been certified by the Rhode Island Family Court as a Guardian ad Litem to represent the children's best interest in divorce / custody cases and she has been certified as a Mediator for Child Access as well as a Mediator for divorce * Lois has a vast experience and knowledge of family law in Rhode Island. Worst experience I ever had with a lawyer. Unprepared, made promises she couldn't keep - I rue the day I listened to her and believed her.
Lois Iannone was appointed as Guardian ad Litem for my children. She was extremely professional and compassionate at the same time. She went above and beyond to ensure that the children were comfortable. Lois was always looking out for the children's best interest. She listened and advocated for them and made excellent recommendations. Lois took time to meet with the children, myself, my ex-husband and our respective families. I highly recommend Lois.
Lois Iannone was appointed guardian to my children. She never once listened to their needs and even though their father violated multiple court orders, she was consistenly on his side. She never listened to the children's wants and needs or the their therapists recommendations. She met with my mother and told my mom all about her own family problems. She advertises that she is pro father's rights when that was evident in my case. Her billing practices are completely unethical. She billed me multiple times and then when I questioned her on it, she changed the amount. Stay far away from this woman.
A wonderful person with a extremely accurate and perfect ethical view on child custody matters.
I have talked to many other Lawyers and Lois is revered and honored as a fair open G.A.L. and only feared by those who do not have a child's best interest in mind.
I will and have recommended her to anyone who wants what is best for their children and is seeking a honest opinion of how to best handle any legal issues regarding any child endangerment, divorce and /or custody matters.
Do not use this person. She is a nice lady but a terrible lawyer. She completely messed up a child support motion and is not only unprepared, but also disorganized. She cannot argue a case and made many mistakes.
Lois was recommenced to me by another attorney because of her expertise in divorce and family law. During my initial consultation it didn't take long for me to realize I had retained a competent attorney and more important felt that a had gained a new friend. Besides my divorce Lois has resolved other legal matters for me all with great satisfaction and beyond my expectations.
