Empire Resources is a distributor of value-added semi-finished aluminum products. The company serves more than 200 customers in a variety of industries that includes transportation, automotive, housing, appliances and packaging. Its principal markets include North America, and through its subsidiary, Empire Resources Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. Aluminum products are produced by processing primary and recycled aluminum into semi-finished form in which it is not yet a product usable by a consumer, but is capable of being manufactured into a final end product. Processes utilized in manufacturing semi-finished aluminum products are rolling, which typically produces a variety of products, such as coil, sheet, plate and foil, and extruding, which yields rod, bar and a myriad of extruded shapes.
