I recently had the exact same experience as the 8 yr old cocker spaniel. They charged us an extra $20 for our dog because they were "matted and squirmy" first of all if you groom dogs you should be able to handle squirming and matting. Secondly you don't just decide to charge more money because the job was a little tougher than you wanted to work without calling the owner and asking. Finally the cut was AWFUL!! They completely shaved my pour puppy and he looks ridiculous. So they charged me extra for this terrible cut. I will never step foot in that place and I will never recommend it to anyone.

Heidi's is the best..never have a problem with getting an appointment and my two boys (dogs but we don't tell them they are) love Heidi. Been taking them there for over a year now and have never been disappointed. Thanks so much Heidi.

We took our 8 year old cocker spaniel in to get trimmed. They told us it would be about $38 and my mother, who is living pay check to paycheck, agreed. When they called four and a half hours later they said that because she put up a little fight and her fur was matted that they wanted $55 for the service. I will admit that the dog has a temperament when a stranger is trying to trim her but there were NO mats in her fur. When we got her back they never trimmed her paws because the lady said she was fighting to much and her nails were more broken than trimmed. I asked her if she knew that the dog would giver her trouble or that she had mats in her fur BEFORE she laid a clipper on her and she said "Yes". I said if that was the case then she knew my mother's situation and should have called her first to notify her of the new charges. I then said "so you take a dog and don't give them back unless the customer pays whatever you want? Is that how you do business?" She replied "Yes." We have taken our dog to other groomers in the past and they never had a problem other than having to muzzle her. So Heidi charged us more than she quoted for less that acceptable service. We will never go back and are looking into small claims court action.

My shi-poo was very well groomed. And smelled very good. And it only cost $40 for the bath and haircut.
