The Fresno Rescue Mission is a nonprofit charitable organization that has been providing housing and support services to homeless and at-risk people since 1949. It is a Christian-centered organization that offers The Academy, which is an 18-month rehabilitation program for the victims of jail imprisonment, physical and mental abuse, and drug and alcohol addiction. It operates the Emergency Family Shelter, which is a family apartment complex that provides temporary shelter, food and clothing, as well as referrals to other charitable agencies. The Fresno Rescue Mission offers work therapy and career development programs for men. It also operates the Craycroft Youth Center, which is a 30-day emergency shelter for abandoned, abused and neglected children. The Fresno Rescue Mission is located in Fresno, Calif.
