I have been taking all three of my vehicles to this American Brake and Muffler on the corner of Chase and Ridge Rd for years and they have ALWAYS done a good job every time. Ben (the guy who usually answers the phone) is always straightforward and honest about the prices for parts/labor and the mechanics know their stuff! I would recommend this place to anyone!

I called in early about multiple issues with my car and they took me in same day. I had my vehicle back in 24 hours repaired and ready. These guys are fast and provide quality service for cars and trucks. Definitely recommend them.

Was just looking for American Mufflers hours, and came across this last review. Could not help but respond. Been to American Muffler a few times now. Had pretty good experiences (once I really needed to get my car fixed to get to my job and they were getting ready to close late saturday so they had to keep it till Monday :( . They did give me a ride home though. I think its interesting how "Still Pissed" was able to constantly know that the truck was not in the stall. How can you be so sure, Still Pissed? I see by their hours they are open 10 hours a day. You were able to monitor that many hours for however many days? Also you seem very pleased that you were able to get all this free stuff from them and that your laughing about it. This is why car shops charge so much; because of scams like this "Still Pissed" is doing. Just saying is all. Glory to God, because through Him I can accomplish anything!

I AGREE WITH THE PERSON WHO SAID THIS PLACE WILL TAKE UR MONEY AND NEVER FIX UR CAR. THEY DID ME THE SAME WAY FOR $1200 OR SO THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA GET AWAY WITH IT, BUT I GOT MY MONEY BACK THROUGH MY BANK. LITTLE DID THEY KNOW, I CHECKED EVERY DAY TO SEE IF MY TRUCK WAS IN A BAY AND IT NEVER WAS. I ALSO HAD THE PART THEY GAVE ME IDENTIFIED BY THE JUNKYARD EMPLOYEE PLUS 2 MORE PPL. I HAD A MECHANIC TO CHECK THE BOLTS ON MY REAR DIFF TOO, JUST TO SEE IF THEY HAD BEEN REMOVED, AND THEY HADN'T. THEY MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM FIRST OF ALL AND WHEN THEY SAW WHAT THE PROBLEM REALLY WAS, THEY TRIED TELLING ME THAT I COULDN'T DRIVE OFF THE LOT AFTER GIVING THEM THAT MUCH MONEY AND OFFERED ME A FREE TOW. GAVE ME A PART THAT THEY JUST BOUGHT FROM THE JUNKYARD FOR $200 AND TOLD ME IT CAME OFF MY TRUCK. GUESS I'M A FOOL...NOT!! I ENDED UP GETTING MY MONEY BACK AND A FREE TOW TO THE PERSON WHO ULTIMATELY FIXED MY TRUCK (TRANSMISSION GUY) AND I GOT A FREE $200 REAR DIFFERENTIAL!! NOW WHO'S LAUGHING!?! IT COULD'VE GONE SMOOTHLY HAD U GAVE ME MY MONEY!! U JUST GET WHAT U GIVE SOMETIMES!! THANK GOODNESS FOR CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS!! OH AND BY THE WAY, U GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB TO REPLY TO SOMEONE'S COMPLAINT A YEAR AND A HALF LATER!! WOW!! HOW AWESOME!! NNNNOOOOOTTTTTTTT!!!! LMBO!!!!

My belt came off my car at the stop light across from American Brake and Muffler. It was Saturday and I was broke down in the middle of the street. I ran across the street to American Brake and they were just closing up. Most of the mechanics were gone, but the manager, Pete, and the one remaining mechanic helped me push my car into their lot, re-opened the shop, drove to the parts store to get the part, as they were out of stock, and installed it on my car. They did all of this after closing time and words cant express how grateful I am for Pete and Jerry to be able to save my weekend. Kudos to you guys and you now have a customer for life.

I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE TIME TAKE MY CAR BACK TO AMERICAN BRAKE & MUFFLER. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR CASH AND NEVER FIX UR CAR. THE SHOP SHOULD BE CLOSE DOWN FOR GOOD. IF I HAVE 2 STAND OUTSIDE THE SHOP AND TELL PPL HOW BAD IT IS..I WILL. AND THE SO CALL MANAGEMENT WAS NO HELP AT ALL.

I would have to agree American Brake & Muffler are okay, however, my opinion has since change. Since I tried to contact them on a Sunday which they were close. My concern was; did they have someone in the Nashville, TN area that would honor there warranty.Since, I received no answer I allowed Firestone to replace the fuel pump American Brake and Muffler put on my vehicle eight months earlier. Once I return to the Midwest Area, the manager said the warranties are in house only. I am out of $685.00Again, American Brake and Muffler, "I believe", are great but they need to honor there warranties. Thank You,

I went to American Brakes in November for my brakes making noises. Being a woman, I was afraid that they would tell me that I needed all kinds of stuff. The manager (Pete) looked at my car and told me that all I needed was an adjustment and did not even charge me. American Brakes and Mufflers have a customer for life.
