Harris County Department of Education, founded in 1889 and located in Houston, offers a variety of academic and learning programs to students. The institution provides services to the physically disabled children and adults. It has an enrollment of more than 21,000 children. It offers subjects, such as English as a second language, math, science, social studies, fine and performing arts, and health and physical education.
