General Info

The Oyster Bar, open for business since 1975, is located in Little Rock's Historic Stifft Station/Hillcrest neighborhood. Our building was built in 1924 and once housed a neighborhood grocery store. Our legendary shrimp and gumbo is served in a family friendly, non-smoking environment. We also have a kids' menu and selections for non-seafood lovers. Park in back, put a quarter in the jukebox, order a mug of the coldest beer in town and find out why locals have been dining at The Oyster Bar for over 30 years. My husband loves the shrimp here, but the restaurant is kind of filthy and outdated. It's very expensive for the restaurant to be that nasty.

Good food and good times

I love the food (awesome gumbo!) and the service is great. The restaurant is in a cute old neighborhood with nice people. One of my fave places to eat!!!!

Good atmosphere for a dive.

We love the food. The service is fun. Don't expect fine dinning, but the Poor Boys are great, the portions are huge and anything friedd is terrific. Solid Gumbo and the red beans and rice are my favorite.
