NEVER rent a storage unit at Nelson Self Storage. Management does NOT inspect the buildings. If they had, they would have found a hole in the roof over my unit. Instead, my moving company found it and, due to extensive water and mold damage, I lost all my furniture, books, artwork, etc. Don't judge a book by its cover-the area may appear clean and neat BUT inspections are never done so problems, such as a hole in a roof, are never discovered and. therefore, NEVER repaired!!!!

WARNING!!! Do NOT rent a storage unit at Nelson Self Storage. I did and regret every day I trusted these people to take care of their buildings. My moving company found a hole in the roof when they were packing up my belongings. Water/mold damage was unbelievable. I lost all my furniture, many books, art work, etc. that I've purchased over many many years-all because this company could not care less regarding periodically checking and maintaining their buildings. Pathetic!

I've been with this storage unit for 15 years. They have worked with me and in all my moves, they never lost me. The storage unit is a secure gated community and well maintained. The current staff is friendly. They send constant communication to me.

I rented a large storage unit at Nelson Road Self Storage. When I had a moving company arrive to move everything out, they found a large hole in the roof and the majority of my items-furniture, books, clothing, etc-ruined due to extensive water damage along with severe mold issues. The moving company moved everything to their warehouse and refused to place anything into a a moving van until I had the mold issues removed. I had to hire another company and pay over $2000 to clean everything plus remove items from every single box and repack. I lost many items including a solid cherry bedroom set-dresser, chest of drawers, lingerie chest, end tables plus 2 large solid cherry bookcases plus so many items I had collected throughout my life that can never be replaced. Repeat-WARNING-YOU WILL BE PLACING YOUR ITEMS AT RISK SHOULD YOU TRUST THIS STORAGE FACILITY!

DON'T DO IT.. Just go SOMEWHERE ELSE. There are 100 storage units, this one is HORRIBLE. The service I just recieved after being a client for about 5 years is beyond substandard to angering. I belive they simply wish to take my belongings to keep or auction. They did not call, email, or write me a letter to know my bank auto payments stopped. They simply sent a certified letter that they had ALREADY INVADED MY RENTAL, photographed my belongngs and were planning to SELL MY STUFF. They say this is standard, but I would NEVER treat a client that way after that many years of payments were made. What makes this beyond SUSPICIOUS is that I had this unit sealed for eyars and JUST VISITED in October and viewed y units interior for the first time in years. The owners came by at the time. Suddenly it is up for auction?? No contact??? JUST DON'T TRUST THESE GUYS. I had an issue two years gao with being double billed and they never resolved that either with any rfunds or credits, but I stayed because I just couldn't move the stuff at the time. Well, now I have to do it, Fast. UGH!!! SO UPSET!

I am disgusted with the management and owners of this business. They WILL AUCTION and GO THROUGH your belongings. I had my unit for over 5 years and made the mistake of vsiting in October and photogaphing my belongings. Obviously this sparked their greed because they sent a certified letter AFTER opening my unit, to let me know my bill was past due. They couldnt mail one before?? Couldnt bill me? Couldnt call me? For $175 they were willing to auction it ALL with no nitice other than the letter they sent AFTER they OPENED the unit! GO TO ANOTHER BUSINESS. DON'T RISK AUCTION without being notified!

I liked this storage place for several reasons:- ease with which I acquired my unit- how simple it was to vacate my unit- the friendly managers who were always helpful- the quick response from the managers when I e-mailed them (most times they got back to me the same day)- the price was reasonable compared to others in the areaThe only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because my stuff was covered in a layer of dirt/dust after only a couple of months. I wouldn't call this a deal breaker for me, because my important stuff was covered or had easy to clean surfaces, but it might be important for people with more precious objects.

I've checked around and this place is by far the cleanest! The resident managers are very friendly and accomidating. I know my stuff is at the safest place possible. You have to check them out!

The onsite owners/managers were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. The facilities are clean, safe and easy to access with several options for loading areas. The hours worked out great for us and we liked the idea that the grounds were inaccessible after late, late hours.
