Philippe the Original opened its doors to Los Angelenos back in 1908 and is credited with inventing the French Dip Sandwich. Since the creation of the French Dip, Philippe's has served the classic dish along with popular sides including, potato salad, coleslaw, beef stew and chili. The Perfect Ham Sandwich.
Always consistent, great Ham and Cheese. Pea soup tops off the meal. Quick service very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back

The French Dip made with lamb is my favorite. The ladies who carve the meat and make the sandwiches are SUPER.
Great place to get good food at old fashioned prices. Easy to get to from Union Station.
Excellent old time eatery with good food, old fashioned prices and atmosphere. Recommended.
hope one day they will update service with the new times. lines could move quicker if they're willing to change.
