Homecare, Incorporated is a general contractor providing complete remodeling and construction services to the Minneapolis and surrounding area. Founded in 1960, we have been in business providing quality remodeling for 47 years! Although we specialize in bathroom and kitchen remodeling, our experience has been in all types of residential remodeling. One thing we do not do is "cookie-cutter" remodeling. Each customer's job is unique and tailored to the desires of our customers. We employ union carpenters with decades of experience with Homecare as well as a full-time office staff to ensure that you will not be left in the dark or lost in the shuffle. According to a 2003 survey by ProSource, Homecare ranks in the top 6% of 5700 metro contractors surveyed in the amount of jobs done per year. We are also ranked 24% in sales volume per year. Homecare, Incorporated is a charter member of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

I chose HCI based on their website pix -- liked the sense of humor which I thought they might need to work with me on a bathroom remodel (of a very small bathroom). This included floor, wall tile and wall insulation, tub install (clawfoot new/built-in tub bye-bye) and sink, plus working around the fact that this was the only toilet in the house (so they re-set it every night). I was extremely pleased with Steve's speedy contact/replies via e-mail or phone as necessary; the workmanship of all the subs; and the finished results. Steve even sent the guys over to uncrate the tub when it arrived and get it into the house, even though they weren't scheduled to start the job for another week. The company cares what it does, and it shows in the final product and the way they treat the customer. Next project -- Homecare -- you bet!
We are delighted with our completely renovated bathroom. It gave new life to our 1978 year old home. Homecare guided us each step of the way from the selection of tile and fixtures to custom cabinetry and decorating suggestions. With so many decisions to be made, we could not have imagined doing it ourselves or working with simply a handyman. We feel like we are staying in a nice hotel each time we use our new bathroom!From the start of the project through months after completion, Steve and his team were very professional, responsive and trustworthy. I had never done a remodeling job before, but knew I needed to get three quotes from reliable, local, firms, so i jumped in. Homecare, Inc. was the company I chose and it proved to be the right decision. Steve was wonderful to work with from start to finish. I was pleased with his use of technology to communicate with me in the planning stage e.g. order changes, selecting products, and even a calendar to tell me exactly when the specific contractors would come and their task for the particular day. He was on time, on schedule, on site every day, and on cost! What more could I ask - especially with the final product of a beautiful new kitchen and bath. I will call Steve at Homecare, Inc. from now on with no need for additional bids and research.
I've have HCI work on a number of projects in my home. I live in an old, inefficient house, and operate on a limited home improvement budget. Steve from HCI came to my house and wasted no time. He took a look at my property, explained options, and answered all my questions (even the ones that took some research on his end). They even hooked us up with a State Rebate program I wasn't aware of. They really look out for you. I will be using them in the future.
We have relied on Homecare over the past ten years to help us repair and remodel our 100 year old home. I have used homecare for all kinds of home remodelling over the last 20 years, from bathroom remodels to basement finishing to kitchen remodeling. Never have I been disappointed with my decision to use them. I've tried others, but often have called in Homecare to clean up the work started by others. I think the world of the crew at Homecare and their faithful leader Steve Earl. I have referred them to friends for their remodelling needs and have always been thanked for the referral of a great contractor. Their pricing is fair and the workmanship is exceptional. I recommend them to anyone interested in hiring a high quality and high value home remodeling contractor. They really are as good as I make them out to be.
I'm very pleased with the workmanship that Homecare did on my bathroom. I have an older home built in the mid 40's. They updated my bathroom with all new fixtures, tub, faucet/shower, sink,vanity,faucet and toilet. They also installed ceramic walls and floor. They were always there to answer my question and returned my calls promptly. I'll definietly use them again for any project.
Perhaps like many of you I had grown sick & tired of chasing plumbers, carpenters, electricians & other trades people who would not show up on time ( or at all ) not return calls, make promises never kept, etc. With that in mind I looked into the background of several general contractors by contacting the Mn. Attorney Generals Office as well as the Better Business Bureau to check for actions or complaints. I selected Homecare as there were no actions against them & the references I spoke with were very positive Re; the work that had been done for them by the company.The first project they did for me was to replace an entire master bath. I was given a 3 week schedule of their work plan & they never missed a day of that plan. Also they sealed off the work area so that dust & dirt did not spread through the house & they were very diligent about cleaning up at the end of each day.
