My mother referred me to The Mont and said she used to go there in the 70s when it was a hot spot. I ordered a burger and my husband ordered chips and queso and a blue hawaiin. First thing that turned me off about the place was the waitress coming over to the table ID'ing me and acting snotty because my husband put his drink on his right side and it was in front of me. I DON'T EVEN DRINK! Then when they brought my burger out the inside was totally red ( UNCOOKED) The chips and queso looked like it had sat out all day... GROSS. They also charged me after my first refill on a drink which at 2.00 a drink that can get pretty expensive. The menu really didnt have much to choose from so I really didn't want to order anything else. When I told the waitress all she did was offer me a new burger which would have taken another 30 minutes and I declined and she brought me a receipt and the only item she comped was the burger and my bill was still almost 20.00. It sucked. It was way too expensive and the staff was horrible. The only good thing that I can say is that the environment was nice and the drink was OK.

The Mont is a long-time establishment in Norman. I have many memories of sitting out on the Patio drinking a swirl with college friends. You have to get their queso.. to die for!!
