This little shop is basically a one man operation that I always joked about being run more like a hobby than a real business. It attracts customers who don't mind waiting an hour or more for the single barber, mainly, I think because the price has been kept at $9 for sometime now. A second barber "sometimes" appears for half a day a week. The proprietor is an affable enough young chap, and many of his customers come without enough hair to count, much less cut, but I guess their main interest is the exercise getting out of the house and the little chit chat as the barber pretends to cut their 6 hairs. It is all psychologically therapeutic I assume, so harmless but it is highly aggravating when you have hair and places to be at and Gramps gets the whole work up over his bald dome, just as if he was still 20.
