Top 10 Dance Studio

The review from the person in the parking lot who has never been in or taken a child to this studio should be taken in that light. The staff, parents and kids are some of the best around. They compete at a very high level, and get to experience some of the most famous choreographers in the country who come to this studio because of the caliber of instruction and the talent of the kids that are here. The parking lot in front of Home Depot is a large parking lot. the studio is located at one end of it. .The other 4/5 of the parking lot is away from the studio. The bitter person who wrongly thinks that everyone that goes there is rich should probably go park somewhere else and quit commenting on things they have no knowledge of. I doubt the staff was rude to them, more likely they were confrontational with the staff. This is one of the best studios in the country to learn and experience the art of dance. Visit them and see for yourself.

If you're looking for somewhere for your kids to take dance lessons, look somewhere else. The people that work there and especially the parents that take their kids there are some of the rudest snobbiest people I have ever met. I shop at the Home Depot right next door quite often and these people will block you car in, park, and not come back out for hours. On multiple occasions, at least 6 in the last two years, the parents dropping off their kids would park right next to me and slam their car doors into my vehicle, while I'm sitting in it. Never once did one of them apologize. One lady scraped the paint on my vehicle down to the metal letting her car door REST on my vehicle while she got her kid out of the car seat. And it's not like there isn't a lot of room to park. I called the dance company to complain and they were just as rude as the parents that take their kids there. Nothing against super rich people, but you would probably save a lot of money going to another dance company, and your kids wouldn't be exposed to snobs.

For recreational dancing, this studio may be fine. In fact some of their pre-k classes are excellent! If your child is looking for something more, I encourage you to look elsewhere. They pick a few dancers to build up and make stars and use the rest as leverage. They do not have concerns about the whole child, just whether or not you can win for them. After 5 years of being on their competition team we were told by the studio owner that our child didn't cut it (We didn't have funds for the extra classes we were asked to do) we decided to look elsewhere. Two years later, my child who couldn't cut it at CC won the entire dance competition as first place soloist for our new studio. They have great teachers, and for recreational dancing are fine. But it wasn't worth the emotional costs of not being supported by the studio in the competition world.

The studio Director at this dance studio is the most unprofessional business person I have ever met. She allows some parents to barter their tuition while the rest have to pay higher prices to offset the costs. Her and the staff create guidelines for the competitive dance groups to follow, but a select few dancers are not required to folllow them. If you are looking for a dance studio that will build your child's self-esteem--please look elsewhere. We left because of the unfair business practices at this studio. We were intrigued by the guest choreographers, but the Director is very vindictive. There are approx. 6 dancers that are in the majority of the competitive group dances, and then the rest of the students are divided up among the other dances. The Director picks favorites, and is very blatant about it, but later denies that favoritism exists. There are a large number of other studios in the area--please shop around before choosing this one.
