- Born in and raised in Reno Nevada, Dr. Murphy is proud to be able to practice in the community where he grew up. He graduated from Reno High School in 1992 and received his Bachelors of Science degree from Oregon State University in 1996. He then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2002. After two years in general practice, Dr. Murphy then completed his Pediatric residency at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. In addition to his pediatric residency, he also received a Masters in Pediatric Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2006. He received his Board certification in 2007 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
