      Rochester Sand and Gravel is a respected leader in the asphalt paving industry. Headquartered in Rochester, Minnesota, Rochester Sand and Gravel provides construction and pavement services in Southeastern Minnesota. Rochester Sand and Gravel is suited to do everything from high volume interstate paving to your driveway. We specialize in construction management and pavement design while providing customers with the most up to date knowledge in hot mix asphalt construction. Our crews recycle existing surfaces, grade and shape work sites, and pave hot mix asphalt with the highest degree of quality control. All employees from management to laborers are proud members of the Rochester Sand and Gravel team. We make a real difference in the communities we work in, providing safe highways, parking lots that welcome customers, and bike paths to enjoy the recreational beauty of Minnesota landscapes. Rochester Sand and Gravel has been in business since 1946, beginning with a mining operation located in northeast Rochester. In 1962, Rochester Sand and Gravel was purchased by Mark Hindermann and Bill Fitzgerald. They continued the mining and paving operations until the company was acquired by Mathy Construction Company in 1998. Rochester Sand and Gravel is a leader in the asphalt paving industry for producing and placing hot mix asphalt in Southeastern Minnesota. We provide services for government, municipal, commercial and residential projects. These projects include interstate highways, airports, township and county roads, parking lots, tennis courts, bike paths and residential driveways. Our customers include state and local government as well as private companies and individuals. A tradition of commitment, quality and excellence is the foundation of our continued success.
