      Animal Care & Regulation - County of Sacramento caters to the unincorporated area of Sacramento County. It does not serve cities such as Rancho Cordova, Folsom, or Sacramento, who have separate animal services. The organization provides services such as pet licensing, low cost spay and neuter services, low cost vaccination, animal impounds and quarantine, and rescue & foster assistance. It also helps with investigation of animal abuse and neglect complaints, animal adoptions, and lost and found pets. The animal shelter organization also offers education and training about animal issues, animal behavior, and animal violence.
