Del's is the best in town.Family owned & operated.I take my stuff to Del;s only. The best work around.
Del's, a local full service automotive machine shop in Sacramento, CA, was enlisted to help this shade tree mechanic get his 98 Dakota R/T back on the street. After 252,000 miles, the 5.9L V8 was due for a valve job. Now as some know the these heads can be fraught with problems, cracking, failed valve seats, bent valve stems, and the list goes on. David at Del's was knowledgeable and informative, letting me know what we might be in for. A few days later David called to let me know that actually the heads were in pretty good shape. A couple cracks and a couple of valves and seats were all that needed to be replaced. Del's could have inflated job for more profit on their end. But they were honest, timely and did an excellent job of restoring the heads for a fair price. The engine runs like new. In the words of our Governator, "I'll be back"! Del's can handle everything from a lawn mower engine on up.

Del's is the best machine shop around! I've been doing business with them for over 20 years and never a problem. Always quailty work at a very resonable price. I would never go elsewhere!
I use machine shop services every few years. Always have had good experiences with Del's. But, several years back, I tried one of the local 'cylinder head exchange' outfits ... Terrible decision! Early valve seat failure, bad advice on how to repair, wrong cam, etc. After pulling the head off about three times, finally got smart and took it back to Del's. Followed their recommendations on what should be done to repair, and the engine has been rock solid for 3 years, 36K+ miles. Stick with the best. -- Go with quality. Gary, Sacramento
