Six if us ate there last night the quality of the food went down and the prices way up.We will not return.

After a wonderful movie, we happened upon this great cafe in the same parking lot - and boy are we glad we did! No wait (@ 6:45 pm on a Saturday...) friendly staff, great waitress and really great food - all of it. We were considering ordering take-out to enjoy the next day....when we decided to just come back the next day! We're visiting from out of town, and will definitely be passing the name of The Acadiana Cafe to all our friends who visit San Antonio.

My family and I have frequented Acadiana frequently (once a week) for the past 5-6 years. However, in the last 3 months we have had 3 horrible experiences. On one occasion we had been seated and ordered our appetizer waited for 20 minutes still no appetizer yet another table was seated next to us and had been seated about 5 minutes when they received the same appetizer we had ordered 20 min before. Upon questioning of our waitress she stated they were friends of the owner. That was supposed to make it all better? Last month we visited and had a waitress that refused to take our order did not even acknowledge our table. This Friday after a month hiatus we returned and again were not attended to by a waitress for along time. In fact another waitress approached our table and said that our waitress was ill but that she would take our drink order until the waitress was available.. However, "our" waitress was waiting on "white" customers but refused to come take our order. I don't know what the problem is . Is it that we are an interracial couple? I would say stay clear of Acadiana it is simply not worth it. Times are tough and if you won't take my order there are plenty of other restaurants in this city that would love to have my $.

The food has gone downhill every since Frenchie and that Cajun guy that used to boil crawfish outside have gone away. Service is bad too. A friend convinced me to go with her last week. I haven't been there in a while because if was so bad but she insisted so I went. She found a fly in her tea, the food was bland and the service staff were fighting over whose table we were. I won't be going back!
