The Shawano Medical Center provides health car services to clients in Shawano, Wis. and its surrounding communities at the main hospital, rehabilitation office and convenient care walk-in clinic. The hospitals laboratory services include blood chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, urinalysis and a blood bank. The obstetrics department includes birthing rooms as well as classes in prenatal, childbirth, childcare and a certified lactation consultant. Its radiology department consists of a CT scan (Computer Tomography), low-dose mammography, nuclear medicine, general radiography and fluoroscopy, mobile MRI service (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), mobile bone densitometry and ultrasound. Shawano Medical Center operates four clinics including in orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry and pulmonology. The hospital also features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency room.
