Don't get me wrong, it's GREAT that we have another sushi restaurant in South Hadley...However, from my absolutely horrible dining experience at IYA, I would say that it needs A LOT of work before I'm ever stepping foot in there again. My girlfriends and I decided to try IYA several weeks ago; we were all so excited since each one of us is an Asian cuisine and sushi fan. Despite another friend's warning that IYA forgot an essential part of her Bibimbap (a Korean rice dish) when it was served to her, we all decided to give IYA a try. It honestly was one of the worst eating mistakes of our lives. I went here towards the end of the night and the place was packed. However we did not have a long wait and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Everything is clean and there is good music. The best part over all is the food. Reasonably priced and delicious. The 911 roll and Paradise roll are two favorites even with the staff. I highly reccomend sitting at the sushi bar because the chefs are awesome. You can watch them make your food and they will talk to you. Everyone is very polite. I would reccomend calling ahead to see if there is long wait.

Food was good but service was awful. Dinners were comming out before appetizers. Everyones meals came out at different times. My moms dinner was not deliverered until everyone was almost done. And I was thirsty. I won't be back for awhile not to mention our wait time was a hour and it took 2.

this is a new restaurant in South Hadley. Venue is small but good atmosphere. Food was very good, sushi chefs seemed knowledgable and were willing to chat with customers. Service was slow and inexperience, hopefully this will improve.
