Born in Nigeria, Dr. Obianuju Uju moved to New York City at a young age and spent the remainder of her childhood in Harlem. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Uju’s desire to help patients preserve their teeth and smiles inspired her to become an Endodontist. She gained acceptance into the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious residency program, where she earned her Certificate in Endodontics. In 2016, she became a Board-Certified Endodontist. Certification by the American Board of Endodontics is considered the ultimate clinical credential, and only the top 20 percent of all specialists receive this accolade. Dr. Uju is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is an avid supporter of organized dentistry and holds active memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the National Dental Association. In 2021, Dr. Uju, her husband, and her toddler son excitedly relocated to South Florida, an area they had long considered a second home. Her passions include sports, fitness, traveling, and African performance arts. She is always ready for life’s next adventure and approaches every day with infectious enthusiasm and an unwavering commitment to providing patients with the most comfortable and attentive dental care available.
