Looove this school! My daughter currently attends and I must say I am happy I made the decision to enroll her. Contrary to the previous comment back in 2008, the school is perfect for my 4 year old daughter. I have no problem at with closed session, I do not instead to treat my daughter like a baby and have her sheltered her whole life. It's called letting your kids grow and the instructors are very good and loving with the kids. Plus the lobby is just outside the classroom and there is a BIG window right in front where most parents park to easily see their child in practice. I see no crib or any other child furniture in the lobby either. I think that was an extremely low blow about the comment of the mother having cancer and has absolutely nothing to do with anything. She's a very kind and loving women that knows exactly what she is doing. This is my daughters first year attending SSPA and I fully intend on registering her again when this year is over. The whole is awesome with the kids and have been great role models as well. So to pasatiempo's comment, you are way off and baby you should think of home schooling your child as well since it seems like you want to shelter them from a thing call life.

I have been dancing here since i was 4 years old, and it is still worth it! The instructor here wants us to work hard and be our best and then get better. The younger girls who range from 3-5 basically get to experience dance a little and also get to learn simple and easy dances for their age. The next age group which is 6-8 get a

Ittle more advanced but still are learning and improving gradually. Their dances get trickier but not very hard. The 9-12 year olds are also improving still but at a faster pase. The are pushed a little harder to get the proper technique and posture for all types of dance but they also gEt to move a little slower. Then 13+ work extra hard, get pushed to the limit, and are spread out amoungst their technical abillity on the dance floor. The less experienced they are the class they are placed in may be effected. I am in mostly advanced classes because of almost 10 years dancing at sspa. If you are looking for a fun exersize at a good price, then Stockton School of Performing Arts is the place to go!!!

Unfortunatelly, Stockton Schoold of Prerforming Arts is no longer what it used to be. The owner and isntructor has to have her 8 month old baby in the facility about 80% to 90% on the Weekends. The Lobby has the a Baby walker, Baby portable crib, and High chair in the Lobby. The Dance studio doors are close shut during training and there is no visibility for parent into the dance studio. If you have a 5 year old taking classes and you are protective of her or him during class such as predators hidding in the back room of the dance studio, health issues such as ashtma or falling and breaking a foot you are out of luck. You have no visibility and no access to see into the dance studio. The owner states is for the child to develop into the instructions and have not distractions. How about the fact that she has a 16 year old teen with her providing the class instructions insted. Perhaps this is the true reason why all is kept so, closed up, the doors and windows? This is something to think about before signing up your child in this dance school. There is not updated systems in the studio, no PCS no Registeres or ATMS machines for you to pay for the class or fees for Costumes, Shoes, fitting etc.. A written receipt is provided to you and if you loose this receipt, at times you may have to verify payment. If you do not keep this last century kind of receipt you are out of luck. There is also one more thing. The mother of the owner is fairly sick with cancer. Unfortunatelly this is a disease that is terriable and feel for this lady. But, it is unfortunate to see her working under this conditions, and making monetary errors. I had a situation of a payment in cash to the school and I was marked UNPAID. This cause me to wait one more week to clear this out so, I would not have to pay twice. The bookeeping is out dated and not relaible. If you like to go throught all this trouble, perhaps this is the right schoold for you or for your child. Good LUCK!!

Stockton School of Performing Arts is a great dance studio! I have heard from lots of other students and parents that they or their child it! Every student is always making improvement whether they are in a dance class such as ballet, tap, and jazz or if they are singing! The teachers there are amazing! They are nice and have lots of experience. They will always keep you informed about costumes, and shows. SSPA now offers Ballet, Tap, Jazz/lyrical, Hip Hop, Technique classes, Competitive Dance Team, and Singing classes. I really recommend you there! They offer amazing classes that will have a positive impact that you won't regret!
