I felt completely at ease. Dr. Vause was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and nurturing. Upon arriving, I signed in and was greeted warmly by the receptionist. The receptionist then came out to apologize to waiting patients that the doctor was running ten minutes behind schedule. I have never, ever had an apology for a doctor making me wait. I was then ushered to my well appointed examining room by a warm nurse. Beautiful, soothing music played in the background. Dr. Vause and her assistant Staci came in, shook my hand and asked me if I had any questions before my Mohs Surgery (this was my third visit). A local anesthesia was administered, and the first layer of my basal cell carcinoma was removed to be reviewed by an on-staff technician. Dr. Vause praised me for being calm and still. I was guided to a waiting room to wait for the sample to be reviewed. I was offered coffee, tea, and bagels, which were brought to me. Dr. Vause and Staci both came at separate times to check my wound and bandage. It was necessary to take another pass at my mole to be sure I was cancer free. This was done quickly and painlessly and I once again waited for the sample to be viewed. Dr. Vause and Staci came to check on me. They asked if I needed lunch. Eventually, Dr. Vause told me the second pass was successful and discussed the next visit-reconstructive surgery. She showed me pictures of what she had in mind to repair the incision. She patiently answered all my questions and commended me for "being an A+ patient". She is the best doctor that has ever treated me for anything. I recommend her highly!

I have never been treated with such callousness. I was there for 30 minutes...waiting for 15 and then with her resident for another 13. She only saw me for about 2 to 3 minutes. And even then she talked to the resident "about me" more than she talked to me. And in the end, she did not even diagnose me, but sent the resident to do it. They basically said they could not help me, e.g., no prescription, suggestions or anything. I drove over an hour for nothing! I would NEVER recommend her to anyone!

I brought my 10yr old daughter to Dr Vouse's office for a rash that wouldn't go away. During our first 2 visits, we saw Dr Bright (who was lovely). On our last visit however, we had the misfortune of seeing Dr Vouse, who was incredibly rude to both me and my daughter. She never spoke directly to or even made eye contact with my daughter. When we left, the tech (not me!) questioned the billing. Dr Vouse, without speaking wiggled her finger at me to come back into her office and proceeded to chastise me for asking about her billing (and I hadn't even been the one to ask). She proceded to berate me even after the tech came back in to explain that it was she who had inquired about the billing! I was stunned!! She left without apologizing--the staff however apologized repeatedly for HER behavior! Unbelievable--never again!!
