Hocon to the rescue again. If you need oil and service this is the company for you. They are flexible and easy to work with. They also are very affordable. Check them out.

My house in Torrington had a leak from the oil tank and a propane leak from the oven on the SAME weekend. Service guys came right out, were very helpful and the rates were reasonable. Different service people came to install the new stove, also helpful. I buy oil and propane from them.

Stay away. They rip you off. Their prices are WAY over the state average. NobleGreyMan's comment is spot on. The woman who answers the phone is so rude. I couldn't take it anymore and terminated my ties with them. Best decision i ever made. They billed me for a delivery that was never made!?!?!?!?! And they won't remove it off my bill?!?!?! They are basically calling me a liar. Fat chance, that's not my character but since i know now they've been ripping me off for years I'd say it's more like their character. BE WARNED!!

Hocon in Torrington is the worst vendor experiences I've ever had. The incredible rudeness of the woman who answers the phone and the gentleman in service still astounds me. I grew up in the Northwest Corner and never dealt with anything like it. There were mistakes from the date of the install. I was promised "we grade the area where the tanks go in - it looks great, neat, etc". They did not grade it at all. When I called my sales person he told me they weren't going to do anything about it. We had to look at crooked and rusty tanks for a year. It was downhill from there. Billing was continually incorrect and I would have to deal with the front desk woman on these issues and to say she was offensive doesn't even begin to describe the matter. I don't want them to go out of business. I just think they need to change out the staffing and/or get some training in place. There are a lot of smart hardworking people looking for work - I don't know why they would allow this woman to torment people. The attitude of her and the person in service lost our account. As a final note, we were a decent size account. We were heating 6000 sq. ft. with propane. One star because apparently you have to give 1 - it's actually 0.

This company is terrible! Stay away from Hocon gas! We have spent thousands with them and have had nothing but problems. They even ruined my hardwood floors with the defective "top of the line" Mantis propane heater. The heater was supposed to burn of the by product of propane which is water by running it back up to the top of the unit but all it did was run all over my floor. I showed the company and they said sorry but would not fix the floor. Eventually all they could do was remove the unit for the fourth time and sell me the unvented unit which a hole in the house where the previous unit was and cold air blowing directly in. That is just one example of this company's horrible customer service.

What a great group of people to be in business with. They are attentive, willing to help out where they can.Ask for Patty, she's a sweetheart!
