Provided by YP.comAfter waiting a week for the repair guy to come, he misdiagnosed my problem. After he told me I needed a new motor, I ordered one from the manufacturer. Since he couldn't come back for another week...I called another repair person who actually opened up the machine to find it was the motor and transmission. Long story short, paid over $650 for Maytag washer, which I had to literally throw away 2 1/2 years later. After I purchased a replacement, I was stuck with the part their repair guy told me I needed and the bill for a replacement machine. They were sympathetic at first, and offered to repair the broken machine, resell it and give me the $...but after their repair guy called to tell me it wasn't worth fixing, they refused to deal with it. Maytag refused to take the unopened part back, so now I'm stuck with a motor I can't use! The owner stated she was in the "same boat" as her personal washer had broken down. I pointed out that she owned an appliance store and could just "take" another machine. I however, after being a customer for over 25 years was SOL!
