Sold me 8 month old beer, with bottle
Date of 1/1/18. Tasted funny and When asked, was told this is the bottle date, but after ordered 3rd, the date changed to 10/15/18...and tasted MuCH better!! emailed Miller Lite and confirmed it’s the sell by date, as I assumed. Very disappointed! But got a free glass! Just assume when you are paying this price point, the Miller Lite wouldn’t be 8 months old. Also food wasn’t great, but kids loved crab legs!

Lots to choose from!

There really is a lot to choose from, good quality food. The desserts are beautiful and yummy.

It can be a bit pricey for a 'buffet', but this isnt the typical 'buffet' food. You will easily spend $30 per person, but you'd spend that if you went to Red Lobster and had all the offerings you'd eat at the buffet.

Ya gotta try it!

Heard great things about this restaurant but, it is OK to the best. Food is not fresh and selection is limited.

I have been going to Capt Georges for years. The ambiance is awesome. The placement and variety of food is awesome. The quality of the food is so wonderful. The Crab Legs were plentiful, juicy, delicious and come with a special Captains sauce if you like or butter or margarine. There was seafood Norfolk, Seafood Imperial, hush puppies (corn bread), salad, many options of sauteed and fried fish, shrimp, spare ribs... so much more. The desserts were fantastic! They even serve ice cream from the bar as an addition to the buffet. I didn´t try it, but saw some come out, they looked yummy. I had quite an appetite going in and completely satisfied leaving. There was a line forming around the building when I left. There were many employees in the building to make my experience happy. The bathrooms were kept very clean. Great place! The price for the buffet is a tad steep, but I still felt like it was a value b/c of the crab legs and house made desserts... oh! the scallops, yum!

We went to Captain Georges for my son's 16th birthday. I don't eat a lot of seafood but he loves the crab legs & he gets his moneys worth of crab legs. When I went through the buffet line they didn't have deviled crabs on the buffet & I was livid because that is the only seafood I really like except fried oysters. Our waiter Michael was so helpful. He went to the kitchen to talk to the chef & brought me what he thought I wanted & when that wasn't right , the chef himself came out to talk to me to see exactly what I was asking for. He told me they don't put them out until 5pm but he took it upon himself to go to the kitchen & fix me deviled crabs to keep me happy. I was very happy. I was very impressed that they would take the time to make sure I was satisfied. Thank you chef Edgar & Michael for making what could have been a very unhappy experience for me a great one. See you soon!

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

Don't get me wrong. The foods is good. From fayetteville,nc on vacation, and decided to try Captain George's. The Problems: NO PRICES, SHOULD HAVE ASKED FIRST. For my wife and I to eat along with 2 sweet teas, our total came to $68.19 before a tip. Total $77.19 for a 30 min dinner. They even charge you for another buffet if you end up staying more than 2 hours there....RIP OFF? YOU TELL ME....MAYBE I'M JUST TOO CHEAP. Sorry E-4s in the Army don't make that kind of money. If we knew the price first, we would have went to McDonalds...

i just returned from eating at Capt. Georges. I am on a gluten free diet, so I asked the manager what they had that was gluten free. She went to the Chef and he came out personally and showed me which foods on the buffet I could or could not eat. He even prepared some foods for me in the kitchen to prevent cross contamination. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The food was great and I will be back. Thank you Captain Georges.

I've only eaten at Captain Georges twice, both times its been very enjoyable due to the cleanliness, wide selection of fresh food, and beautiful dessert table. Staff is always friendly and helpful. A bit on the pricey side for me, but a real treat when I visit this seafood buffet.

Good quality for the price

Anytime I want the best seafood buffet in the Hampton Roads area, I go here. The atmosphere is top notch and everything is clean. I go there just to load up on the great snow crab legs. They also have a variety of gourmet desserts.
