My rating of Dr. Smith is EXACTLY the opposite of the one previously posted. She helped our family, particularly our three children, through rough times and on to healthy lives with solid emotional foundations and coping skills. This involved my husband and I also working hard BECAUSE the root of children's emotional problems are virtually always a symptom of dysfunction between their parents. Learning disability diagnoses such as ADHD and dyslexia are not hers to identify. As for anxiety, the previous negative review clearly comes from an angry parent who didn't like the alienation diagnosis. She'd make me anxious and alienated too. Facing your part in your children's problems is extremely difficult and painful. Failing to do so does even more irreparable damage. The truth hurts. All the negative comments about Dr. Smith are libellous and unfounded. She is as professional , brilliant, effective and truly compassionate as parents could ever hope for. See her once and you will agree.

Malpractice. Diagnoses "alienation" when no professional community accepts this. She will charge you thousands and cause irreparable harm to your children. Find yourself and/or family a reputable therapist who administers assessments BEFORE misdiagnosing patients. She failed to diagnose ADHD, Central Auditory Disorder, and dyslexia in my children. She did, however, diagnose "alienation," blaming the mother for the child's emotional symptoms which WERE later identified by his school. Malpractice.
